The N.P.A.G.S.P what`s that then?

well it all started 3 days ago..........
we were discussing the chances of starting up a necromunda campaign (prompted by the large stack of necromunda books and magazines sitting under my coffee table)

it started well but started to flag and lose steam, i pushed forward and asked some questions.

in the end I got some answers from the guys and was not surprised buy the results.
The models look dated, they look boring, they are to expensive, Christmas is coming.
taking in all these things i sat back and worked a few things out.

the next thing that came from my mouth was N.P.A.G.S.P. this promoted the main question of " what`s that" well  its the following Necromunda. Plastic. And. Green. Stuff. Project. in a nut shell lets make the gangs from the now large range of plastic models that GW make. now i have large amounts of plastic human models floating around from different projects and so do others in my group.
next up i was put with put your "plastic where your mouth is" so i`ve sorted out some bitz and am going to start on some Goliaths or escher models lets see what happerens....................

what brings you down here then punk

I`ve been reading my necromunda rule books again, just to refresh my mind on the rules and back ground. And i have been thinking about what drew me into the underhive all those years ago..........

First off is the background to the game. The whole setting has so much character from the bottom of the sump to the highest point of spire. I was drawn into the whole setting and could see my gang battling its way through the underhive.

Next up is the way the gang develops from game to game, i grew attached to the members of my gang each one had its own name and personality. and the passing of a gang member is quite a sad moment.

Next up is the amount of different gangs for you to choose, from the basic 6 and the 3 outlander gangs and the rest that have been published in magazines and on the net their are tons to choose from

Last but by no means least are the alternative settings for the game, The ash wastes, gorkamorka, and commorragh city of the dammed.

well thats enough rambling for now....................

Welcome to the sump punk

It all started back in 1995 in my dusty shed...............

I came home to find a large white box sitting waiting for me. Inside was the 1st edition of necromunda, as well as two boxed gangs the Orlocks and the Goliath. I read the rules clipped the plastic miniatures from their sprue's and i was battling away in the underhive.

over the next four months the remaining gangs were released and articals were published in white dwarf. My Goliath gang was going from strength to strength carving their way through the underhive. Then outlanders gets released my Goliaths were retired and the redemptionists took to the field.
Between me and my friends we managed to run a champaign for just over a year, new gangs appeared in the citadel journal and these made their way into our section of the underhive.

Fast forward to 2005 and i dust off my collection for another bash at the underhive, this time the results are less than good our campaign lasts for three months and ends with no overall winner.

Fast forward again to 2011 and I`m going to give it another shot.....................

so pick up your stub gun and grab you trusty knife and join me in the underhive................
